Would you like to show your honey at the Southwest Washington Fair?
Scroll down for a few helpful downloadable instructions, a PowerPoint presentation from Peter Glover, a past LCBA Education Coordinator, plus a breakdown of the fair categories.
In addition to regular liquid honey, cut comb entries - see below - are welcome, along with chunk honey, wax, mead, and other bee products.

Advice from Bev Phoenix, LCBA Member:
"Carry your jar to the fair with a towel (no fingerprints!) and be sure the person taking it uses the towel (last year the person accepting jars just picked them up barehanded). You can lift the foam off the top by putting a piece of plastic wrap onto the surface, so it touches all the foam, then lift it off quickly and carefully. I overfilled a teaspoon maybe to account for what I lifted out. it worked well. "
